Year of Establishment : 1954 with PUC.
Medium of Instruction : Course is taught in both English and Telugu

Progression

- Upgraded to B.Sc(BZC) level later.
- Introduced as one of the optional subjects with Microbiology and Chemistry(MBC) in 1997.
- Medicinal Botany introduced as an elective to 3rd year 1996.

- Field Trips to various places for herbarium collection and to have first hand knowledge about natural vegetation.
