MATHEMATICS CLUB
Inauguration: March 2005
Purpose: To make mathematics more interesting by eliminating the fear of learning maths and enjoy the beauty of the subject.
Aims and Objectives:
- To improve mathematical skills and inculcate the habit of analytical thinking among the students.
- To eliminate the fear of mathematics and indulge them in mathematical recreations
- To provide a platform to exhibit creative and innovative talents
- To provide an opportunity and create an atmosphere for the students to study and present exciting topics in mathematics.
- To have wider context of mathematics.
Activities Planned
- Meeting once in a month
- Conduct Quiz Programs
- Group presentations by the students
- Lectures by experts in the field
- Organizing exhibition
- Mathematical plays
Beneficiaries: Along with students of Mathematics of RBVRR all those who are interested to learn mathematics.
Activities
Various club activities are taken up. Every year in the month of December the Department conducts Maths Stats work shop (for students of different colleges in twin cities) as part of Birthday celebrations of Srinivasa Ramanujan
