The department of Biotechnology has a well developed three laboratories with all the required instruments , Charts, specimens, furniture, glass ware, Microscopes, compound microscopes, Binocular microscope and dissection microscopes for conducting practical laboratory work for B.Sc Biotechnology Students of all the three years, and a preparatory room equipped with Hot air oven ,Incubator , Autoclave . The following are the laboratory equipment available in the department enabling them to carry out various experiments and research activities for the students and faculty. The major equipment includes UV Spectrophotometer, Laminar air flow, Centrifuge both table top and Cooling centrifuge, Chromatography chamber, Electrophoresis unit, Microwave, Refrigerator.
Maintainance of the equipments in the lab is done by the faculty like fumigation of the laminar airflow, working of the microscopes etc if there is any major breakdown of the instruments we call the supplier and get the repairs done by the department.
