Guest lecture on “Genome Sequencing and Homologous Modelling”
The Department of biotechnology has conducted a Guest lecture on “Genome Sequencing and Homologous Modelling” on 13-02-2023 at 2.00 to 4.00 PM in the A.V room. Dr.Karunakar, Director, Qstatix pvt.Ltd, Hyderabad had delivered the lecture. All the students of Bt.C.Fs (I, II, and III year) have attended.
Students have also come to know about the recent advances in Bioinformatics, Modeling of DNA, DNA Sequencing, Application of Bioinformatics in Drug Designing and drug Targets.
Extension lecture on “Genome Organization and Reassociation Kinetics of DNA”
The Department of biotechnology has conducted an Extension lecture on “Genome Organization and Reassociation Kinetics of DNA” on 20-02-2023 at 2.00 to 4.00 PM in the A.V room. Dr.A. Jaya Madhuri Latha Asst. Professor in Biotechnology Loyola UG and PG College , Hyderabad had delivered the lecture. All the students of Bt.C.Fs (I, and II year) have attended.

A Guest Lecture on 20-9-2023 Plant Biotechnology
A guest lecturer was organised by the Department of biotechnology on September 20, 2023 by Prof. J.S Bentur Principal Scientist of AGRIBIOTECH FOUNDATION Rajendranagar Hyd, an amazing lecture on plant biotechnology was delivered. He covered each and every topic related to the subject and have explained through the means of his power point presentation which was the most interesting part of the lecture.
He covered topics like recent techniques in plant biotechnology, history, future plans, and experiments and most importantly he shared his experience of working being a part of Agri Biotech.
There was an interactive session with students where students came up with doubts and he clarified them. He educated them about the field and scopes of plant biotechnology and also gave career counseling to them.
The main aim and Objective of the lecture was intended to teach tissue culture techniques and its applications.
A Guest lecture was held on 16th Dec 2019 at 11:00 am in AV Room on the topic “Importance of Animal Biotechnology” by Dr.H.B.D.Prasada Rao,Scientist E, National Institute OF Animal Biotechnology (NIAB).
A guest lecture was organised by the Department of Biotechnology for the students of II year Bt.C.Fs and IIIyear Bt.C.Fs on “Animal Biotechnology “ on December 16, 2019.
The lecture was delivered by Dr.H.B.D Prasad Rao, Scientist E of National Institute of Animal Biotechnology(NIAB). The lecture was very informative and students have shown a lot of interest. He covered several topics such as Genomic editing, recent research in animal biotechnology, increase in the fertility rate in women and fecundity. The students came up with their doubts and were clarified by the scientist. The students were astonished after knowing the untold reality of the Hypothesis of Oocyte culling and the latest advanced works to increase the constant production of ova.
The past, present and future developments in the field og Animal Biotechnology were also discussed. The lecture was a lot more interesting as sir shared his own works and experiences.
The lecture came to an end with a vote of thanks proposed by the assistant professor of Biotechnology Mrs.M.Nagarani.
