2019-20:

Salomi has published a research paper on March 2019 on “Performance Appraisal on Empolyees (Case Study of Employees on (APSFC)” in the journal IRJMSH (International Research Journal of Management Sociology & Humanities) Impact factor 6.2311.

Department of Commerce has organized an extension activity on 9^th July, 2019. Sowmya Rajeshwari (Alumni), Soft Skills Trainer in Image Consultancy (ICBI) has given a lecture on Soft Skills & Resume preparation.

An extension activity was organized by the department through Commerce Club (Akraya) on 15^th July, 2019. Students of B.Com II & III year visited Spoorthi Foundation at Vidyanagar. They have made the children participate in activities like Group Discussion & Various Other Tasks.

    
   

A guest lecture was conducted on “Investor Protection” on 16^th July, 2019 in the college auditorium by Srikanta Lahari Sagi, Bombay Stock Exchange.

A guest lecture on Economics on “Economics – An overview” was organized on 18^th July, 2019 & the resource person was Professor Indirakanth.

Mrs. Anitha.S, Mrs. S. Salomi & Mrs. K. Swathi have attended an half day workshop on “Global opportunities   in Finance, Auditing & Taxation” on 19^th  June 2019 at Vivanta by Taj, Begumpet jointly organized by Department of Commerce, OU and ACCA

An awareness programme on “ICET & Bank Coaching - Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Reasoning & Interview Skills” by Time Institute was organized by Mr. Hidayathullah, Asst Course Director, Time Pvt Ltd., on 20^th July, 2019 in A.V Room.

An extension lecture on “Investment Banking & Fintellect Edge” by K. Rajendra (Head International Wing), ISFS (International School for Financial Services) was organized on 22^nd July, 2019.

An extension lecture on ICSI “Company Secretary” by Radha Krishna Sista, Chairman ICSI was organized on 7^th August, 2019 at 3.00 p.m in the college A.V Room for B.Com I year students.

An extension lecture on “Digital Marketing” by Mounika, International School for Financial Studies was organized on 26^th August, 2019 at 3.00 p.m in the college A.V Room for B.Com III year students.

Ameena Farooqui & K. Mounika have attended and presented a paper on “Social Media and Digital Marketing” in a Two Day National Seminar on Advances in Finance and Marketing organized by Osmania University under UGC SAP DRS – III on 29^th & 30^th August, 2019.

A workshop on “Life Skills – A Journey from Campus to Corporate” was organized by the Department of Commerce on 29^th August, 2019. Sri Krishna Chainulu (Professional in Operational & Strategic Planning) was the speaker.

K.Sindhuri, Ms. K. Swathi, Ms. Ameena Farooqui & Ms. K. Mounika have attended a Faculty Development Programme on ”Financial Markets, Derivatives & Commodities” on 4^th September, 2019, organized by Department of Business Management, R.B.V.R.R. Women’s College.

K.Sindhuri & Ms. K. Swathi have attended a Teacher Conference, at St. Pious Degree & P.G College, Nacharam, organized by ICSI on 7^th September, 2019.

Ameena Farooqui has attended and presented a paper on “Online Shopping Benefits & Issues” in a Two Day National Conference on ‘Business Management in 21^st Century: Emerging Trends Challenges & Opportunities’ organized by Department of Master of Business Administration, Mother Theressa College of Engineering & Technology, Peddapally held on 5^th & 6^th September, 2019.

A Guest lecture in Economics on “Economics-An Overview” was organized on 18^th july 2019 and the resource person was Professor Indirakanth

Sindhuri and Swathi attended a conference on Professional competency at Taj Vivanta by ACCA in collaboration with Rachanostav on 26^th sept 2019

Organised Tally commerce Apptitude test on 21^st sept 2019.100 students have taken online test at 12.00 to 1pm.All the participants are provided with digital certificate with their scores.

K.Mounika has attended and presented a paper on Innovative Marketing Strategies” in a National Seminar on Emerging Technologies in Banking,Insurance,Finance and Marketing organized by Roots Degree College in collaboration with Dept of Commerce and Management ,OU on 26^th October 2019.

P.Sai Ambica has attended and presented a Paper on Electronic Banking Products :Evolution ,Present Status and Future Trends: in a National Seminar on Emerging Technological Trends in Banking Insurance Finance and Marketing organized by Roots Degree College in collaboration with Dept of Commerce and Management ,OU on 26^th October 2019.

Ms K.Sindhuri And Ms.K.Swathi have attended a workshop o NAAC Assessment and Accreditation process-An overview at Keshav Memorial Institute of commerce and sciences on 16^th Nov 2019.

A workshop on “Life Skills – A Journey from Campus to Corporate” was organized by Department of Commerce on 29^th August, 2019. The programme started with inaugural session at 11.00 A.M. Mrs. S.Anitha, Head Department of Commerce has briefed the students about the college, Department and the Workshop. Dr. Sri Vaidula Sastri has introduced the resource person Sri Krishna Chainulu (Professional in Operational & Strategic Planning). Sri Krishna Chainulu has addressed the gathering and started Technical Session I. the resource person has explained about the short term goals, long term goals, process of communication & relationship and their importance. The session continued till 1.30 P.M.

Technical session II has started at 2.30 P.M and continued till 4.00 P.M, which included various activities to provide practical exposure to the students and bring out the inherent talents on team work & organizing skills. The valedictory has started at 4.00 P.M and the students gave feed back on the entire workshop. One of the students from final year proposed vote of thanks after the distribution of participation certificates. The programme concluded with National Anthem.

  

2018-19:

1. Organised an orientation programme on “Tally” for B.com Final Year students on 27-06-2023 by AIIS infotech solutions Pvt ltd. in the college Auditorium.
2. Organised Commerce Business Quiz for B.com I, II, III year students as a part of commerce club activity on 21-07-2023 in the college Auditorium.
3. Organised an Extension lecture on “Capital markets and financial planning” for B.com Final year students on 19-07-2023 by Mirza Raffathulla baig of BSE in the college Auditorium.
4. Ch. Vijayalakshmi & Ms. K. Mounika has attended “Faculty Summit Hyderabad” on 4^th August 2018 organised by stratagem solutions Pvt ltd at Taj Krishna, Banjara Hills.
5. Ch. Vijayalakshmi & Ms. K. Mounika has attended a two day workshop on “GST and E-filing of Income tax returns of individuals – procedural aspects” on 19^th &20^th September organized by University college for women, Koti.
6. An awareness programme on “Career of Company Secretaries – Its prospects” was organized in A.V. Room on 11^th October 2018, at 11.30A.M for B.com students. Mrs. V. Namita, CS, LLB Practising company secretary along with her team of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) addressed the gathering.
7. An awareness programme on “Association of Chartered certified Accountants” (ACCA) was organized for B.Com I year students on 18^th Dec 2018. Dr.Rajendran has enlightened the students on how to achieve that qualification, the stages involved to become a finance professional. Around 180 students attended the programme.
8. An awareness programme on certificate courses in Investment Banking Operations and Skill enhancement courses have been organized for B.Com II & III year students. Mr.Krishna of International School of Financial studies delivered a lecture on the importance of these certificate courses for B.Com students.
9. As a part of annual celebration of “Akraya” Commerce Club has organized “Role play” and “Smart on Spot” events for all the B.com students in the college auditorium on 20^th Dec 2018. These events are based mainly on commerce related aspects. The students showed interest by participating in large numbers. Prizes and participation certificates are distributed to the students.
10. Aagaaz-4: A Two day academic and cultural fest was organized by B.Com Students on 20^th and 21^st February 2019, in the college. Aagaaz became a platform for the students to showcase their inherent talents. Both formal and informal activities were organized by the students. Around 15 colleges have participated in these activities. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners.

3. The quiz competition has been conducted by akraya [commerce club] on 21-july-2018 in the college auditorium. The competition included 50 students from B.com I, II and III years as participants forming 10 groups of 5 participants in each group
4. The activity Smart on Spot was conducted by Commerce club (Akraya) on 20^th December 2018, in the college auditorium. There were around 200 participants. The activity was divided in two rounds. The first round was about lateral thinking. The audience was asked riddles. In the second round, the participants were given situations wherein they have to give the best convincing answers. The participants tried to give the answers according to the given situation.

2012-13:

1. A seminar on “Tax Free Nation – Arthakranti” was conducted by the department on 17^th July, 2012.
2. Ms. K. Kusuma Kumari, Ms. B. Manjula, Ms. P. Rajani & B.Com III year students attended a seminar on “Prospects of Hotel Management” in Sundharayya Vignana Kendram, on 6^th September, 2012.
3. An educational tour/ Factory visit to “Joshi’s Masalas & Pickles” organized by the department. All the staff members and B.Com III year students visited the factory. The visit included Old age Home located at Keesaragutta, Ramakrishna Vamaprastha Ashramam, on 7^th September, 2012
4. Dr.B.Prameela (HOD), Ms. S. Anitha, Ms. B. Manjula & Ms. P. Rajani have attended a one day seminar on “Effective Teaching Methods in Commerce” at IPE, Institute of Public Enterprises, O.U on 8^th September, 2012.
5. An extension lecture was held on 22^nd September, 2012 on “Retail Management” by Dr. V. Srikanth.
6. An extension lecture was held on 5^th December, 2012 on “Concentration Skills” by Ms. Juhi Chouwdary B.tech, pursuing M.A Psychology.
7. An extension was held on 6^th December, 2012 by Mr. Senapathi, Shiva Shivani Business School on “Personality Development Programme” for the III year students.
8. Ms. Ch. Vijayalaxmi & Ms. P. Rajani have participated Two day ICT seminar in Gachibowli on 19^th & 20^th December, 2012 along with 50 students of B.Com II year. It was organized by the Central University of Hyderabad.
9. Ms. P. Srilatha attended a Three day seminar of “Use of SPSS Package in Research Methodology” conducted by Koti Women’s College on 20^th, 21^st & 22^nd December, 2012.
10. In the month of January, 2012 coaching programming for Competitive Exams/ Long term bank coaching organized by the department for 76 students.

2. An extension lecture on “Time Series Analysis” in Business Statistics for B.Com II year students arranged by Dr. R. Sudhakar Reddy, retired Reader, AV College on 18^th January, 2013.
3. An extension lecture in Taxation by Sri Satish Chartered Accountant in Tax practioner in VAT on 11^th February, 2013.
4. An orientation lecture on Job Prospects for the B.Com III year students was organized on 16^th February, 2013 by Time Institute.

2013-14:

1. Ms. K. Swathi & Ms. P. Rajani have attended the “Book Release Function” at Osmania University arranged by O.U Department Commerce by Sri K.V. Achalapathi on 12^th July, 2013.
2. A seminar on “Career Development & Career Opportunities” was organized on 19^th July, 2013. The resource person was Professor C. Ganesh, Former Director, Controller of Competitive Examinations, O.U.
3. An awareness programme on “Recruitment in Banks” was organized on 26^th July, 2013 for B.Com III year students as a part of Equal opportunity center programme. Mr. Suresh Dasari, Director, Manhattan Review was the resource person.
4. An orientation on “Working of Autonomy Challenges” was organized by the department on 5^th August, 2013.
5. The department has organized a symposia on “Swami Vivekananda Views on Education and Teacher” on 13^th August, 2013. Professor H. Venkateshwarlu, Director PGRRCDE, O.U was the resource person.
6. A seminar was organized on “Research Methodology” for the staff members by Professor Kavi Kishor, Department of Genetics O.U, Professor Galab, Director, CESS. Professor Indrakanth, R.B.I on 8^th November, 2013.
7. An extension lecture on “National Stock Exchange” was arranged on 27^th November, 2013 for B.Com I year students. Sri M. Ramakrishnan, Executive Officer, National Stock Exchange of India Ltd., was the resource person.
8. A two day educational & cultural fest, Aagaaz – II (the journey continues) was organized by the department on 14^th & 15^th of February, 2013.
9. Certificate Course on Retail Management was introduced.

2014-15:

1. Ms. S. Anitha & Ms. K. Sindhuri have attended a work shop on “International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)” on 18^th November, 2014 at PGRRCDE, O.U, organized by the Department of Commerce, O.U.
2. Ms. S. Anitha, Ms. S. Salomi & Ms. B. Manjula have attended a two day National Seminar on “Forensic Accounting & Fraud” on 1^st & 2^nd December, 2014 at Technology of Engineering Building, O.U, organized by the Department of Commerce, O.U.
3. An orientation programme on “Diploma in Banking & Finance” by “Madhavi Institute Financial Services” organized by the department on 12^th December, 2014. Ms. Madhavi Reddy (CMIFS) was the resource person.
4. An orientation programme on “Bank Coaching Classes” was organized by the department on 22^nd December, 2014. Mr. Mohan Lal & Mr. Raman were the resource persons.

2015-16:

1. S.Anitha and Ms.M.Swaroopa have attended a UGC sponsored National seminar on “Accounting Fraud and its impact on Economy “on 10^th & 11^th July 2015, organized by Badruka College of Commerce and Arts in association with ICAI.
2. An Extension lecture was arranged for the students of B.Com 1^st year(General & Comp) on “Retail Management” delivered by Mahendra Rajan (Academic Co-ordinator,Indian Retail School of Management Medchal,RR Dist.) On 13-08-2015.
3. A Two–Day Academic and cultural fest “Aagaaz-3”was organized by department of commerce on 3^rd & 4^th September, 2015.
4. A Research paper on “Kcc-effective Rural Credit Instrument-A Case study” was published by Ms.P.Hema Malini on 29^th Dec 2015 in IJMR.
5. An Extension lecture was arranged for the students of B.Com & B.Sc 2^nd year on “Direct taxes & Indirect taxes” delivered by Sri G.Lal Bahadur Sastry, Chartered Accountant on          28-01-2016.
6. An Extension lecture was delivered by Ms.P.HemaMalini on “Sources of Agricultural Credit in India” in Govt. College for Women, Begumpet on 15-02-2016.
7. P.HemaMalini has attended and presented paper in The National Seminar on “Agricultural Credit- Trends & Issues”at Gulbarga held on 20^th & 21^st March 2016.

2016-17:

1. S.Anitha and Ms.Ameena Farooqui have presented a paper on “Impact of Forensic Accounting and Audit in Detecting Fraud” in the National Seminar organized by O.U on 30^th & 31^st Aug 2016.
2. Extension lectures were delivered by Ms.P.HemaMalini in Govt. College for Women, Begumpet from 25-10-2023 to 27-10-2023 on Business Economics.
3. K.Sindhuri and Ms.K.Swathi have presented paper on “Digital marketing – A Paradigm Shift” in the National Seminar organized by Indian Institute of Management & Commerce (IIMC) on 30-12-2016.

2017-18:

1. Commerce department has organized a one day workshop on “Digitalization in India” –Issues and challenges on 21^st july 2017 at 10:00am in the college auditorium headed by the chief guest prof.S.V Satyanarana H.O.D of commerce, osmania university.
   • Technical session –I was started at 11:30 by B.N.V.Parthasarathi, consultancy at free lance financial and Management consultant & Adjunct faculty
   • Technical session- II was started at 1:30 by DR.N.V Kavitha,H.O.D of commerce, St.Anns college mehdipatnam
   • The members of the department Mrs.B.Manjula and Miss.K.Mounika have given PPT presentation on “Digital india” & “Paytm”.

 

1. Mrs.Anitha & Ameena Farooqui published a paper on impact of Forensic Accounting & audit in detecting fraud in OU magazine,Fradulent financial practices in Indian capital market-issues and concerns with ISBN No.978-93-85518-05-8 on 15^th july 2017.
2. An extension lecture was organized by the department on “professional Accountants” by Association of chartered certified accountants(ACCA) on 18^th Aug 2017 (from Stratagem solutions) The resource person is Miss Tanvi Agarval,Director Strategem Solutions.

1. Mrs S.Salomi, Mrs.K.Sindhuri, Mrs K.Swathi published a paper in IJMR on “Digital Marketing”on 25^th august 2017.The paper was published in International Journal in Management and Social Sciences (ISSN No.-2321-1784 impact factor-6.178)
2. Mrs.P.Rajani & Ms.Ameena Farooqui published a paper in ISOR on E-banking-issues and challenges the paper was published in International Journal in Business Management on 27^th oct 2017(eISSN No.-2278-4872) (eISSN No.-2319-7668)
3. An orientation programme on “Recruitment in banks and bank coaching ”for B.Com final year students was organized on 22^nd dec 2017 at 2:30pm in the college Auditorium.

1. An orientation programme on “Tally ACE ”for B.Com final year students was organized on 20^th jan 2018 at 2:30pm in  the college Auditorium.

 

1. An awareness programme was organized by the department on Taxation (Certificate Course) to B.Com II & III year students on 12-2-2023 at 11.00 A.M in the College Auditorium.
2. A Guest lecture on Fiscal and Monetary policies and their objectives was arranged on 21^st feb 2018 from 11:30am  to 1:00pm in AV room for B.Com Iyear students.The resource person Dr.Munuswamy, Asst. Prof.,Economics, from Khairatabad Govt. Degree College.
3.  The commerce club ” Akraya” was established by the department of commerce on 16th of DEC 2017. The  club aims to encourage students to keep updated with the current events in the world of economics, business and commerce.It further promotes critical thinking in order to implement the concepts learnt during class. I t also aims at bringing out the inherent talents of the students.
4.  Mrs. Ch. Vijayalakshmi has presented a paper on “GST”-Impact and Implications in Indian Economy” in the national seminar organizes by keshav memorial institute of commerce on 23rd and 24th Jan 2018.
5.  The department organised a Guest Lecture on “Insurance-General and Life ” delivered by Ms. M. Satya sudha, Vice Principal, IIMC College Khairthabad on 23rd Feb 2018.
