Salomi has published a research paper on March 2019 on “Performance Appraisal on Empolyees (Case Study of Employees on (APSFC)” in the journal IRJMSH (International Research Journal of Management Sociology & Humanities) Impact factor 6.2311.
Department of Commerce has organized an extension activity on 9th July, 2019. Sowmya Rajeshwari (Alumni), Soft Skills Trainer in Image Consultancy (ICBI) has given a lecture on Soft Skills & Resume preparation.
An extension activity was organized by the department through Commerce Club (Akraya) on 15th July, 2019. Students of B.Com II & III year visited Spoorthi Foundation at Vidyanagar. They have made the children participate in activities like Group Discussion & Various Other Tasks.
A guest lecture was conducted on “Investor Protection” on 16th July, 2019 in the college auditorium by Srikanta Lahari Sagi, Bombay Stock Exchange.

Ms K.Sindhuri And Ms.K.Swathi have attended a workshop o NAAC Assessment and Accreditation process-An overview at Keshav Memorial Institute of commerce and sciences on 16th Nov 2019.
A workshop on “Life Skills – A Journey from Campus to Corporate” was organized by Department of Commerce on 29th August, 2019. The programme started with inaugural session at 11.00 A.M. Mrs. S.Anitha, Head Department of Commerce has briefed the students about the college, Department and the Workshop. Dr. Sri Vaidula Sastri has introduced the resource person Sri Krishna Chainulu (Professional in Operational & Strategic Planning). Sri Krishna Chainulu has addressed the gathering and started Technical Session I. the resource person has explained about the short term goals, long term goals, process of communication & relationship and their importance. The session continued till 1.30 P.M.
Technical session II has started at 2.30 P.M and continued till 4.00 P.M, which included various activities to provide practical exposure to the students and bring out the inherent talents on team work & organizing skills. The valedictory has started at 4.00 P.M and the students gave feed back on the entire workshop. One of the students from final year proposed vote of thanks after the distribution of participation certificates. The programme concluded with National Anthem.

- Organised an orientation programme on “Tally” for B.com Final Year students on 27-06-2023 by AIIS infotech solutions Pvt ltd. in the college Auditorium.
- Organised Commerce Business Quiz for B.com I, II, III year students as a part of commerce club activity on 21-07-2023 in the college Auditorium.
- Organised an Extension lecture on “Capital markets and financial planning” for B.com Final year students on 19-07-2023 by Mirza Raffathulla baig of BSE in the college Auditorium.
- Ch. Vijayalakshmi & Ms. K. Mounika has attended “Faculty Summit Hyderabad” on 4th August 2018 organised by stratagem solutions Pvt ltd at Taj Krishna, Banjara Hills.
- Ch. Vijayalakshmi & Ms. K. Mounika has attended a two day workshop on “GST and E-filing of Income tax returns of individuals – procedural aspects” on 19th &20th September organized by University college for women, Koti.
- An awareness programme on “Career of Company Secretaries – Its prospects” was organized in A.V. Room on 11th October 2018, at 11.30A.M for B.com students. Mrs. V. Namita, CS, LLB Practising company secretary along with her team of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) addressed the gathering.
- An awareness programme on “Association of Chartered certified Accountants” (ACCA) was organized for B.Com I year students on 18th Dec 2018. Dr.Rajendran has enlightened the students on how to achieve that qualification, the stages involved to become a finance professional. Around 180 students attended the programme.
- An awareness programme on certificate courses in Investment Banking Operations and Skill enhancement courses have been organized for B.Com II & III year students. Mr.Krishna of International School of Financial studies delivered a lecture on the importance of these certificate courses for B.Com students.
- As a part of annual celebration of “Akraya” Commerce Club has organized “Role play” and “Smart on Spot” events for all the B.com students in the college auditorium on 20th Dec 2018. These events are based mainly on commerce related aspects. The students showed interest by participating in large numbers. Prizes and participation certificates are distributed to the students.
- Aagaaz-4: A Two day academic and cultural fest was organized by B.Com Students on 20th and 21st February 2019, in the college. Aagaaz became a platform for the students to showcase their inherent talents. Both formal and informal activities were organized by the students. Around 15 colleges have participated in these activities. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners.

- The quiz competition has been conducted by akraya [commerce club] on 21-july-2018 in the college auditorium. The competition included 50 students from B.com I, II and III years as participants forming 10 groups of 5 participants in each group
- The activity Smart on Spot was conducted by Commerce club (Akraya) on 20th December 2018, in the college auditorium. There were around 200 participants. The activity was divided in two rounds. The first round was about lateral thinking. The audience was asked riddles. In the second round, the participants were given situations wherein they have to give the best convincing answers. The participants tried to give the answers according to the given situation.
2012-13:
- A seminar on “Tax Free Nation – Arthakranti” was conducted by the department on 17th July, 2012.
- Ms. K. Kusuma Kumari, Ms. B. Manjula, Ms. P. Rajani & B.Com III year students attended a seminar on “Prospects of Hotel Management” in Sundharayya Vignana Kendram, on 6th September, 2012.
- An educational tour/ Factory visit to “Joshi’s Masalas & Pickles” organized by the department. All the staff members and B.Com III year students visited the factory. The visit included Old age Home located at Keesaragutta, Ramakrishna Vamaprastha Ashramam, on 7th September, 2012
- Dr.B.Prameela (HOD), Ms. S. Anitha, Ms. B. Manjula & Ms. P. Rajani have attended a one day seminar on “Effective Teaching Methods in Commerce” at IPE, Institute of Public Enterprises, O.U on 8th September, 2012.
- An extension lecture was held on 22nd September, 2012 on “Retail Management” by Dr. V. Srikanth.

- In the month of January, 2012 coaching programming for Competitive Exams/ Long term bank coaching organized by the department for 76 students.

- An extension lecture on “Time Series Analysis” in Business Statistics for B.Com II year students arranged by Dr. R. Sudhakar Reddy, retired Reader, AV College on 18th January, 2013.

- An awareness programme on “Recruitment in Banks” was organized on 26th July, 2013 for B.Com III year students as a part of Equal opportunity center programme. Mr. Suresh Dasari, Director, Manhattan Review was the resource person.
- An orientation on “Working of Autonomy Challenges” was organized by the department on 5th August, 2013.
- The department has organized a symposia on “Swami Vivekananda Views on Education and Teacher” on 13th August, 2013. Professor H. Venkateshwarlu, Director PGRRCDE, O.U was the resource person.
- A seminar was organized on “Research Methodology” for the staff members by Professor Kavi Kishor, Department of Genetics O.U, Professor Galab, Director, CESS. Professor Indrakanth, R.B.I on 8th November, 2013.
- An extension lecture on “National Stock Exchange” was arranged on 27th November, 2013 for B.Com I year students. Sri M. Ramakrishnan, Executive Officer, National Stock Exchange of India Ltd., was the resource person.
- A two day educational & cultural fest, Aagaaz – II (the journey continues) was organized by the department on 14th & 15th of February, 2013.

- An extension lecture was organized by the department on “professional Accountants” by Association of chartered certified accountants(ACCA) on 18th Aug 2017 (from Stratagem solutions) The resource person is Miss Tanvi Agarval,Director Strategem Solutions.

- The commerce club ” Akraya” was established by the department of commerce on 16th of DEC 2017. The club aims to encourage students to keep updated with the current events in the world of economics, business and commerce.It further promotes critical thinking in order to implement the concepts learnt during class. I t also aims at bringing out the inherent talents of the students.
