Forensic science unit, Dept of chemistry has organized a workshop on Cyber security on 26th & 27th of February 2018.
This workshop is specifically designed to provide the right knowledge to the aspiring Hacking and Cyber Security enthusiasts. It is becoming increasingly important in today’s networked world and is impacting every aspect of society including finance, healthcare, government, education, arts and entertainment.
- Fingerprint workshop
On December 11th, 2017, Forensic Science unit, Dept of chemistry hosted a full-day workshop entitled FINGERPRINTS. The purpose of the workshop was to bring together a variety of stakeholders to learn about and identify fingerprints for supporting and expanding forensic science in criminal justice system. The 114 participants represented over the different departments of the college.
The workshop was supervised by the two fingerprint experts Shri.K.Krishna murthy, Director(Retd),Fingerprint Bureau & Shri.G.Harsha, SRF,IICT aimed at training the students to capture fingerprints, and introducing them to all kinds and forms of fingerprints.
- UGC Sponsored Two day Workshop for Chemistry Teachers on 14th& 15th February, 2017
A UGC Sponsored Two day Workshop for Chemistry Teachers was organized by Department of Chemistry on 14th& 15th February, 2017. The Workshop proved to be a platform for Teachers to improve their knowledge and presentation skills in Chemistry teaching both in theory &practicals. The Workshop was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Prof. A. Ravindernath, Dean, Academic Affairs & OSD (Planning & Development), MANUU, Hyderabad. He addressed the gathering about the features of Choice based credit system (CBCS). The Workshop included Lecture sessions on the topics like Green Chemistry, Nanotechnology etc&Practicals on Microwave assisted organic synthesis & Chromatographic techniques.
- Two day Workshop on “Ethical Hacking” on 3rd& 4th February, 2017
Department of Chemistry organized a Two day Workshop on “Ethical Hacking”on 3rd& 4th February,2017 in Collaboration with Indian Servers. The workshop covered all aspects of Ethical Hacking which facilitated one to be aware about Cyber Security.
The Two day Workshop was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr.M.V.Ramana Murthy, Department of Mathematics & Computer Science, Osmania University on 3rd February, 2017. The Chief Guest, Dr.M.V.Ramana Murthy has briefed about the current scenario of Cyber Forensics & how people are being victimised in the virtual world.
The invited speaker Shri. Sai Satish, Founder & CEO of Indian servers has lead the Two day Workshop with the attention of the curious participants. He has taught about hacking mobiles, websites & simple measures to be taken while online both theoretically & Practically. Around 80 students and 25 faculty participated in this two Day workshop on “ Ethical Hacking”.
