Profile of the Dept:

The department of mathematics in RBVRR women's college was established in1962 with only one member and handful of students at PUC level.
In the year 1965-66, the Dept offered Maths,Physics,Chemistry combination for Iyr B.Sc EM and later for B.Sc Iyr TM also. During the year 1969-70 the MPC combination was introduced for intermediate students in both English&Telugu media During the year 1989-90 a new combination Maths, Physics and Computers was offered at the B.Sc level and the Dept has also designed the syllabus for Mathematics as an additional subject for degree Iyr non-maths students. During the year 1995-96 another new combination M.S.Cs was offered at B.Sc level

Discrete mathematics is taught for BCA and M.Sc(Comp) courses which were introduced during the year 1998-99. A BSc course with Maths,Statistics and computer Science is started in 1995.

*Mrs.Sarada k is selected for pursuing Ph.D under Faculty improvement programme.
M.Sc(Maths) is introduced in the college in the year 2005-06 with an intake of 34 Students
Admission of the students in to the college is through the Common Entrance Test Conducted by Osmania University

Profile of the Department

- The department of statistics in RBVRR women's college was established in1995 with one member in B.Sc level with 30 students. At present the strength of the course is 45.
- Data Analysis is taught for the courses BCA introduced during the year 2000-2001.
- Quantitative techniques of M.Sc(Comp) in semester III is started in the year 1999-2000.
- Bio-statistics of semester III in Bio-informatics syllabus framed and started in the year 2001-2002.
- Ours is the first Statistics lab for B.Sc(statistics) and Bio-Tech(Bio-statistics) was established with “MINITAB” software for Five systems in the year 2001.
- Organised Exhibition in the year December-2004 .
