Department Of History

The department is existing from the insception of the college. The department takes part in different activities to develop interest for the study of History.

Programme for the academic year

1. To Conduct an exhibition by students about the important events of History.
2. To Conduct symposium and discussions with the students in the class room on some of the important chapters and personalities.
3. To conduct Quiz to improve students knowledge about objective type questions to face competitive exams in the future.
4. To conduct historical tours to develop the practical interest of the students to visit historical places.
5. Showing maps to students for clear understanding to get geographical knowledge.
6. Writing tests and preparation of desertation work by students for their revision and to develop research interest.
7. The other programmes are according to the necessity.
8. Future plan of the department is to start a History Museum by making models.
9. Innovation in the Department - Teaching Histrory through powerpoint presentation.

COURSE INTRODUCED IN THE DEPARTMENT

A U.G.C Sponsored, advance career job oriented course "Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Management" - introduced.
