Faculty of Hindi

Hindi - The RashtraBhasha. Spoken mainly in the Northern part of India more than 180 million people in India regard Hindi as their mother tongue. Modern Language at graduation level (B.A).At present there are two members in the department
Department of Hindi has been in existance since the inception of the college.Hindi is being offered as second language at Intermediate and Degree level. Till the Academic Year 2000-2001 Hindi was offered as one of the optional subjects.

Activities of the Department:

Department Celebrates Mahakavi Tulasi Jayanthi and Upanyas Samrat Premchand Jayanthi.
Department organized, Hindi Divas and Kavi Sammelan.

1. M.Phil - Kahanikar,Kalavikas, Mannu Bhandari.
2. Member - All India Poetess Conference.
3. Presented a paper on "Ahimsa in Jainism" at Tulasi Bhavan 4-11-2004. (A research Foundation for Devotional literary studies O.U.)
4. Delivered an extension lecture on history of Hindi literature.
5. Presented a paper on Jainism in a seminar organised by Tulasi Bhavan(O.U) Jan 2001.
