Profile of the Dept:
The department of mathematics in RBVRR women's college was
established in1962 with only one member and handful of students at PUC level.
In the year 1965-66, the Dept offered Maths,Physics,Chemistry combination for
Iyr B.Sc EM and later for B.Sc Iyr TM also.
During the year 1969-70 the MPC combination was introduced for intermediate
students in both English&Telugu; media
During year 1989-90 a new combination MP Computers was offered at B.Sc level
and also the Dept has designed syllabus for Mathematics as an additional subject
for degree Iyr non-maths students.
During the year 1995-96 another new combination M.S.Cs was offered at B.Sc
level
Discrete mathematics is taught for the courses BCA and M.Sc(Comp) which were
introduced during the year 1998-99.
The Dept has framed syllabus in mathematics for B.Com II year (Comp) as
additional subject.
