Department of Zoology was established in 1954 with PUC. Later started at undergraduate (B.Sc) level with English Medium. From 1970 Zoology is being taught at Intermediate and B.Sc level in English & Telugu Media.

Acitivities for the academic year
1. To conduct symposium and discussions with students in the class room on some of the important chapter to improve communication skills.
2. To conduct quiz on some chapters to improve students knowledge about objective type, Short answer type question to face competitive exams.
3. To conduct zoological tours to develop the practical knowledge of students to visit fish farms etc..
4.Writing tests and preparation of notes by students to improve knowledge.
5.Any other programme according to the necessity.
