Commerce subject was first introduced in 1969 at the Intermediate level when the AP Government started the +2 for the first time with commerce, Economics, Civics & Maths, Economics, Commerce combinations. Subsequently B.Com was introduced in 1971 to accomodate the first batch of Intermediate students. The course started with one fulltime member & has now 13 full time members with 2 M.Phils & 1 Ph.D and one more member will submit Ph.D thesis shortly.

To Keep pace with the changing environment and the students needs, the course structure and syllabii, have been upgraded suitably.
