2. Genetic mapping in Eukaryotes.(Neurospora or yeast, Maize, Drosophila, Mice, and Human ).

III. Unit - III - Genome organisation.

1. Size of genomes
2. Structure of Components.
3. Unique and repetetive Sequences.
4. Genome analysis.

IV. Unit - IV - Mutation and Selection

1. Structural and functional aspect of mutations.
2. Molecular basis of phenotype.
3. Mutation in genetic analysis.
4. Mutagens and DNA repair.

V. Unit - V- Regulation of gene expression.

1. Transcription and translation.
2. Lactose operon in E . Coli.
3. Tryptophan operon in E . Coli.
4. Hormonal regulation of gene expression.
