Best practices in student support and progression:

College has adopted new best practices during 2008-09 besides continuing the practices already in practice.

Tutorials are introduced in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for all students of B.Sc.
Remedial classes are arranged for the slow learners. A feedback on these remedial classes also obtained from the beneficiaries of remedial classes. Achievers in sports received cash prizes as a token of appreciation.

The Management instituted an incentive by way of reimbursement of tuition fees for toppers in undergraduate [Arts, Science and Commerce] courses with an aim to appreciate and encourage academically talented students. Three students were benefited by this during 2008-09.

The students’ feedback is obtained this year also. Various issues identified by the students in this feedback are carefully analyzed and appropriate measures are being taken.

The grievances of the students are also attended through the suggestion boxes kept at various places in the college. A record of action taken in this regard is maintained as a ‘grievance register’.

The Placement Cell enhanced the activities this year. Several companies interviewed our students and several of them got placement.
